2020 Volvo S60 vs 2020 Volvo V60

Serving Chamblee, GA

Volvo introduced its S60 compact executive car in 2000. This model's appeal has grown more magnetic over the years because of Volvo's consistent efforts to improve its all-around excellent design and features. The V60 wagon is often considered to be comparable to the S60 sedan. This is because they share many traits and are comparably priced. Both of these models also entered their current generation a couple of years ago. At Dyer & Dyer Volvo Inc, we will take the time to help you uncover their differences and to make a selection that you are proud to drive for many years.

Performance

The S60 and the V60 are both available with gas-powered and hybrid engines across their trim lines. The entry-level engine for the S60 is a 252-horsepower, 2.0-liter engine. The mid-level S60 trim is outfitted with a turbocharged and supercharged 2.0-liter gas engine that generates 318 horsepower. This engine is mated to an electric motor to power the S60's plug-in hybrid version. The base V60 trim level is equipped with the same 2.0-liter gas engine that you will find in the base S60 trim. If you choose to drive the V60 plug-in hybrid wagon, you will have 415 net horsepower under your control. The plug-in hybrid V60 wagon also has a sport-tuned suspension system.

Appearance

Visually, the S60 and the V60 look similar from the front view. They both have T-shaped LED light ribbons running through the headlights and Volvo's sash-style grille. The hood on both vehicles is comparably sloped with an elegant swoop and beautiful definition on the sides. From the side view and at the rear, however, these vehicles show their differences. The S60 has an athletic profile with a modified lip spoiler on the trunk lid. Individuality continues with the S60's C-shaped taillights and dual exhaust tips. The V60 wagon, on the other hand, shows a subtle angle down an otherwise flat roof. The liftgate is topped by a spoiler and has a sharp angle down the rear windshield to expand interior cargo space. The V60's rear lights have an L-shaped design.

Features

The S60 and V60 wagon both offer seating for 5, and most of their equipment and interior styles are comparable. Some of their shared features at various trim levels include a digital instrumentation screen, a panoramic sunroof, a Bowers & Wilkins or Harman Kardon audio system, a navigation system, Apple CarPlay, and other items.
