Appearance
You will undoubtedly notice exterior differences between the XC40 Recharge and the C40 Recharge from your first glance. The XC40 is a compact model with a tall, gently arched roofline. The hood is arched with graceful accentuation that tapers toward the rounded nose. The grille has Volvo's signature sash running across it, accompanied by futuristic, arrow-like headlights. There are black bumper accents below the grille and headlights and small, rounded foglights. The sides of the XC40 show off a black roof, aggressively molded fenders, and geometric contouring through the lower-side panels. The C40 Recharge is a coupe-like version of the XC40 Recharge, so its roof makes a sharp descent across a hatchback-like liftgate. The side windows are raked as a result of the design. The nose is also more tapered and rounded.
