What's New for the 2025 Volvo XC60 Plus?
The 2025 Volvo XC60 is a midsize SUV that offers two rows of seating, ample cargo space, and advanced features. This stylish model sits between the XC40 and XC90 in the lineup. Going into the 2025 model year, the primary change is found in the names of the trims. The XC60 Ultimate is now the Ultra. In addition, the Recharge T8 is now the T8 AWD. The 2025 trim lineup includes the entry-level Core followed by the Plus, Ultra, and Polestar Engineered. For drivers who want more than the basics in their vehicle, the XC60 Plus is an excellent option.
The XC60 Plus has Volvo's B5 engine. This is a 247-horsepower, mild-hybrid, four-cylinder, turbo 2.0-liter engine. The engine is accompanied by an eight-speed automatic transmission. The Plus and all other 2025 XC60 trim levels have standard all-wheel drive.
While there are many midsize SUVs on the market today, the XC60 is distinctive with its aesthetically pleasing facade. It showcases clean Scandinavian styling with a slightly forward-leaning stance. The sides have a hint of molding over the rear fenders and a deep, angled accent line streaming below the belt line. The front end has a modernized version of Volvo's classic sash grille design. The sash is paired with small, chrome accent lines stacked vertically. The sharp headlights are accented by a T-style LED design, and air inlets++ frame the bumper. The XC60 Plus comes with 19-inch wheels, auto-dimming side mirrors, and adaptive headlights.
The Plus comes with all of the features available in the Core trim level as well as numerous extras. The Core's standard features are a 10-speaker sound system, a Google infotainment system with navigation, a panoramic sunroof, an auto-dimming rear mirror, Apple CarPlay, a digital instrument panel, a 9-inch infotainment system screen, forward collision mitigation, rear parking sensors, lane keeping assistance, and more. The Plus adds Pilot Assist, lane centering, adaptive cruise control, a surround-view camera, more parking sensors, synthetic leather upholstery, and a cabin air purifier.
