 What's New for the 2025 Volvo XC90 B6 Ultra?

The midsize, three-row Volvo XC90 offers the excellent performance and premium features that today's drivers expect. In 2025, there are three powertrain options, which are referred to as the B5, B6 and T8 PHEV. In addition, the XC90 has three trim levels: Core, Plus, and Ultra. Often, our customers are interested in the most powerful gas engine available as well as the top-of-the-line features. What can you expect from the 2025 XC90 B6 Ultra?

Under the XC90 B6 Ultra hood, you will find an upgraded version of the B5's engine. This turbo four-cylinder gas engine generates 295 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. The B6 is also equipped with all-wheel drive and an eight-speed auto transmission. The Ultra is the only trim level available with an optional air suspension system.

The broad dimensions and gently curved roof of the XC90 support ample space for passengers across all three rows. This SUV has clean, Scandinavian-inspired accents flowing across the hood and sides. A chrome crossbar runs across the lower portion of the doors and draws attention to the unique design on the 21-inch wheels. The front of the 2025 XC90 displays a woven mesh design on the grille along with Volvo's classic sash. A linear pattern also runs through vertical air vents. The LED headlights show off an outline of the modern Thor's hammer design included in the latest Volvo models.

As the top trim level available, the Ultra is robustly appointed with features offered in lower trim levels as well as additional standard and optional features only available on this trim level. Its exclusive features include a head-up display, rear window shades, a 14-speaker Harman Kardon sound system or a 19-speaker Bowers & Wilkins system, massaging front seats, wool blend upholstery and others. Features available in the Ultra and the lower trim levels include second-row captain's chairs, heated front and second-row seats, a surround-view camera, a heated steering wheel, a Google-based navigation system, a 9-inch infotainment system screen, a four-zone auto climate control system, a blind spot warning system, Apple CarPlay, a digital instrument screen, lane keeping and several additional features.
