To all who drive a Volvo out there, whether it be shiny and new or used and been a part of the family for generations, we pose a simple question to you, but one that might really get you thinking: Why do you love your Volvo?
There may be a hundred reason why you love getting behind that wheel and hitting the road every day. Maybe you can boil them down to one, all-encompassing response. Either way, there's a reason and the automaker's new campaign, called 3 Million Reasons to Believe, would love to hear yours.
At the official website, there's a lot to look at. One proud owner, Irv Gordon, shares his journey. Having bought his Volvo P1800 in 1966, he's driven over three million miles in it, and it's still going strong. The website is to celebrate his accomplishment and the quality of a well-loved Volvo vehicle.
The real meat of the site is the Discovery Map. On it, you can see a map of the world, tagged with real people all leaving their reasons they love their Volvos. Here's a few of our favorites.
Reason No. 2,462,237 comes from @_alfe in Navacerrada, Spain. The picture depicts his steering wheel with deployed, deflated air bag. "Saved my life!, in a front crash. Twice! Now is 255,000 miles." Truly a testament to the safety of a Volvo.
Reason No.925,376 is posed by Hasan K. from Amman, Jordan. The Picture shows his Volvo driving down the road. "my reason is a 1996 volvo 940 <3" Proof that love knows no age - or model year!
Reason No. 1,131,614 comes from Scott P. nearby here in Atlanta, GA. The picture is of (presumably) him and some friends smiling from the windows of his vehicle. He says, "Memories of a fantastic 18-day European trip every time I climb into my C30." Whether you're going to the store or to France, a Volvo will get you there.
