Volvo Has Electrifying Plans for 2019

Volvo Cars says that every vehicle it launches from 2019 will have an electric motor under its hood, signaling the end of cars that only house an internal combustion engine for the brand.

President and chief executive, Håkan Samuelsson, said in a press release that the change is for the customer because there is an increasing demand for electrified vehicles.

Pulitzer Prize Winning Photographer Joins Forces with Volvo

Volvo thought of an enterprising new way to show off the Volvo XC60's safety features. It teamed up with Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer and artist Barbara Davidson for an innovative project featuring the onboard security cameras of the new Volvo XC60.

First New Volvo XC60 Made in Sweden

Production for Volvo’s new mid-size XC60 SUV is officially underway. The first car to roll off the production line was a Crystal White customer-bound cruiser with T5 inscription AWD.

Volvo Sees Impressive Growth Over April 2016

Volvo Car USA, LLC saw a 15.4 percent increase in sales versus April last year. Not only did it see a very successful sales jump this year, but Volvo also sold a staggering 7,121 vehicles in April. Most of the automobile company’s gains are due to its top seller for the month, the XC90. Volvo saw 2,046 cars leave its lots, a whopping 40.5 percent increase over April 2016.

Volvo Makes March Milestone

Volvo Cars had an excellent March sales month. It reported a 9.3 percent year-on-year surge on the back of double-digit growth in the Asia-Pacific, Europe, Middle East, and African regions.
