The Volvo S60 Polestar has been the source of many blog posts here at Dyer & Dyer Volvo, and with good reason. This modified version of the four-door luxury sedan has proven to be quite the success in automotive circles. Recently, Motor Trend took the S60 Polestar out for a spin, and came back giving the sedan a glowing review.

We wouldn't expect anything less. That's because the Volvo S60, which we know as a luxury vehicle that appeases individuals and families alike, boasts a pretty potent powertrain in the standard model in our showroom, but the Polestar edition really takes it up a notch.

With a modified I-6 engine, the S60 Polestar pumps out 508 horsepower and completed the lap at Raceway Laguna Seca in 1:40.8. Motor Trend lauded the time, noting that it bested many high-end luxury sport cars, even those that had nearly 60 more horsepower.

Among the other standout features Motor Trend noted on the Volvo S60 Polestar included excellent steering at high speeds, and a smooth ride thanks to the Oehlin shocks installed on the modified sedan. We'd say that's pretty good considering the S60 doesn't come from a traditional racing pedigree.
