You may think that with our multiple posts about the Volvo XC Concept Coupe that there would be no more to say. As a matter of fact, not only is there more, there's also some wonderful news.
We'll get the big news out of the way first. Each year in Detroit, the EyesOn Design Awards are held to reward automakers in a number of categories. Volvo's prototype took home two: The Award for Innovative Use of Color, Graphics, and Materials and the Award for Best Concept Vehicle.
This is the second time a Volvo Concept has won a prestigious award. The Concept C Coupe got several design nods at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
As we mentioned in a previous post, the XC Concept Coupe is the second of three prototypes we'll see from Volvo demonstrating their new design language. Our current guess on the third is either Geneva or New York (we're split as to which).
According to industry insiders, this current series of concepts will inform design cues of several next generation new Volvo models, starting with the 2015 XC90, which will be unveiled at a later date. We're quite excited to see how this look manifests in production cars.
Until the new generation manifests, we're pleased to say that the lineup available here in Chamblee, GA is just as magically safe as ever! Stop by our dealership if you have a particular model in mind, or if you'd like to go for a test drive!
