The 2017 Volvo S60 features only minor changes from last year, and continues to be a high-quality compact luxury sedan that's tuned more for comfort than sport, although the available engine options and torque vectoring make it a satisfying experience behind the wheel. Steve Hammes, auto critic for TestDriveNow, likes the S60 very much and calls it fun to drive - on the forgiving side but not at all sloppy, and certainly among the most comfortable rides in its class.
The S60 T5 Dynamic and T5 Inscription (the latter features a longer wheelbase and more room for rear seating) come with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four cylinder engine that makes 240 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. EPA fuel economy estimates are 29 mpg combined. The T6 AWD R-Redesign has both a turbocharged and supercharged version of the 2.0-liter four-cylinder, and makes 302 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque.
