We love spending Saturday mornings at Morningside Farmers’ Market browsing, sampling, and ultimately filling up the back of our Volvo with a nourishing haul of food for the week. Vising the market gives us an opportunity to connect with neighbors, keep our money in the local economy, and feel good about the values we are sharing with our families.
Morningside Farmers Market is Atlanta’s first and only farmers market that requires all produce be certified organic. All produce is grown by the farmers who bring it to the market. The producer of all the crafts and prepared foods are also at the market. Here’s a thumbnail:

Morningside market opened in 1995 and is going strong, supported by a health-conscious population with discerning palettes. Small and intimate in scale, you not only have a chance to do business with the growers and producers directly, you get to know them. The market features regular weekly vendors, rotating vendors, chef pop-ups and entertainment in the music tent. It’s open 52 weeks a year, from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., at 1393 N. Highland Ave. in Atlanta.
You can get the chicken and the egg from Grateful Pastures, organic roasted coffee from Café Campesino, skincare from Moon Organics, cold-pressed juices from Nature’s Garden, bakery goods from La Calavera, veggies and fruit from Red Earth Organic Farms, pasta from Antonio’s, sweetness from Xocolatl Small Batch Chocolate, and much more.
