Performance

Two powertrains power the XC40, and these are the B4 and the B5. The B4 is a 194-horsepower, turbo 2.0-liter, four-cylinder system with front-wheel drive. The B5 features a 247-horsepower engine with all-wheel drive. Both are offered with an automatic eight-speed transmission. The XC60 is available with a few engine possibilities. One of these is a hybrid version of the B5 engine offered in the XC40. The B6 engine is a supercharged V6 variation. The Recharge T8 powertrain is a 455-horsepower, plug-in hybrid system.

Appearance

The beautiful XC40 is characterized by a tall, curved hood and a flat top with a raked liftgate—the elegant accents on the hood trend down toward the sash-style grille. The elegant headlights have a sideways-T element. On the sides, the lower portion of the doors are cleanly accented, and the back fender is molded. The XC60, on the other hand, has similar styling in many ways, but it has a longer, slightly angled roof. The grille and headlights have the same look, but they are more extensive. On the sides, the lower-body accents are strongly defined.

Inside the 2023 XC40, you can delight in features like heated rear and front seats, adaptive cruise control, an air purification system, a Harman Kardon sound system, a surround-view camera, smart device app tech, Pilot Assist, a panoramic roof, and other items. The XC60 is available with many of these same features. It also has a Bowers & Wilkins sound system, enhanced ambient lighting, a four-zone climate control system, upgraded upholstery, and a few additional features.
