Serving Chamblee, GA

The Volvo XC40 and XC60 are impressive crossover SUVs that show off the brand's recognized Scandinavian design language and deliver the smooth, effortless performance and excellent features that today's drivers want. In 2024, the XC40 is Volvo's smallest crossover, and the XC60 sits directly above it in the lineup. While these two-row models have several shared traits, they are unique in critical areas. What can you expect from the XC40 and XC60?

Performance

The subcompact XC40 is now only offered with one engine option. The standard option is now a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder paired with a 48-volt hybrid system that creates 248 horsepower and features standard all-wheel drive. This engine is paired with an eight-speed auto transmission. The 2024 XC60 features a mild-hybrid, turbocharged 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine that generates 247 horsepower. It also has a plug-in hybrid system option that offers 455 combined horsepower. Both of these engines have standard all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Appearance

The style of the 2024 Volvo XC40 is sophisticated and confident, with a tall cabin and a rolling hood. The upper accent on the side doors trends directly into the hammer-style LED headlights. This same look is displayed on the nose's lower air vents. The small grille has a crossed sash in true Volvo fashion. The 2024 XC60 is slightly longer than the XC40, and it features a raked rear, more robust fender definition, and a deep accent streaming across the doors. The headlights have the same hammer theme, but they are longer. The grille is also slightly larger, and a chrome element intersects the lower air vents.

Features

These well-equipped crossovers share numerous features, including heated front and rear seats, a heated steering wheel, a hands-free liftgate, Pilot Assist, a premium Harman Kardon sound system, a surround-view camera, leather seats, a wireless device charger, a panoramic sunroof, rear parking sensors, a drowsy driver monitor, a Google-based operating system for the infotainment tech, Apple CarPlay and more. Select XC60 trims with additional features, such as massaging front seats, a Bowers & Wilkins sound system, a four-zone climate management system, Nappa leather, sound-reducing windows, and others.
