Two new options will arrive in the Volvo lineup in 2025: the all-electric EX30 and EX90 crossover SUVs. The EX30 is Volvo's smallest and most affordable EV crossover now, and the EX90 will become Volvo's flagship EV. What should you know about these prestigious models?

Performance

The EX30 comes with twin electric motors. The 422-horsepower, dual-motor system has all-wheel drive. The range for this model is 253 miles. The EX90 is only available with a twin-motor, all-wheel drive system. Two variations are available, and they produce 402 horsepower and 510 horsepower respectively. Range for the EX90 goes up to 300 to 310 miles.

Appearance

The 2025 Volvo EX30 is individualized from front to rear, mixing the automaker's classic design language and modern elements. The profile is curvy with a defined, swooping, boldly raked roof. The fenders have rounded definition while the sides show off a deep, linear groove. At the front, a small variation of Volvo's sash design sits on a wide, body-colored fascia. A modern twist on the Thor's hammer headlights adds a distinctive touch. The EX90 is a larger, taller model with a flat roof, triangle-spoke wheels, and a deep, dramatic groove across the doors. The nose shares its style with the EX30. However, the vertical element in the LED headlights runs lower.

Features

The EX30 is available with a glass roof, fold-down rear seats, a soundbar speaker, a 12.3-inch touch display screen, a navigation system, Apple CarPlay, Spotify, Google tech, auto braking, cross-path detection, a driver attention monitor, and others. The EX90 accommodates six or seven passengers. It has a few other features, such as lidar, bi-directional charging, curve speed assist, and several additional items.
