The 2025 XC60 is available with a mild-hybrid gas engine and a plug-in hybrid system. The gas engine is a four-cylinder, turbo 2.0-liter, 247-horsepower system. The plug-in hybrid uses this gas engine with an electric component to produce 455 total horsepower. This system gives you an all-electric range of 35 miles. Both systems come with standard all-wheel drive and an eight-speed auto transmission.
Appearance
The strong Scandinavian design language that Volvo is known for is beautifully displayed in both of these SUVs. The Volvo XC40 has a small footprint with a tall roof line and a raked rear. From the side view, you can admire triangle-spoke wheels and smooth contouring that rounds out over the fenders. The nose shows off stretched, Thor's hammer LED headlights as well as similarly shaped air inlets. The rectangular grille has Volvo's signature style.
The XC60, on the other hand, has a longer body with an aerodynamic profile. The sides are styled with a deep, linear contour below the belt. The headlights and grille are similarly designed as the XC60's, but they are larger. The air vents have a triangular shape with metallic crossbars.
