Performance
The XC60 is available with one gas-powered option, and it is offered for the Core, Plus and Ultra trim levels. This is a 247-horsepower, mild-hybrid turbo 2.0-liter, four-cylinder system. The plug-in hybrid system has the same gas engine as well as an electric battery. This system, which produces 455 total horsepower, is only available in the XC60 Polestar Engineered trim. It offers a 35-mile all-electric range. This trim level features adjustable Ohlins suspension dampers, a sport-tuned suspension, and Brembo brakes. All XC60 trim levels come with all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Appearance
The 2025 Volvo XC60 embraces its Scandinavian heritage with its simplistic yet upscale design. It boasts thick, Y-spoke wheels and a chrome accent lining the lower door panels. The roof is gently sloped while the sides have a deep, linear contour and crisp definition above the rear fender. On the nose, the XC60 is styled with Thor's hammer LED headlights. The lower air inlets are accented with a chrome, double-bar element. The XC60's grille has traditional Volvo styling. As the top-of-the-line trim level, the XC60 Polestar Engineered plug-in hybrid stands apart from other trim levels with its summer performance tires, gold-painted calipers, and 21-inch wheels. Other trims are available with up to 19-inch wheels and adaptive headlights.

If you select a gas-powered trim level, your 2025 Volvo XC60 may be appointed with leather upholstery, heated front seats, a 9-inch infotainment system screen, a panoramic sunroof, auto-dimming interior and exterior mirrors, a Google-based navigation system, forward collision mitigation, parking sensors on all sides, adaptive cruise control, a cabin air purifier, lane centering, a Harman Kardon sound system, a four-zone climate control system, a heads-up display and others.
