2025 Volvo XC90 B6 Plus vs 2025 Volvo XC90 B6 Ultra

Serving Chamblee, GA

The stunning Volvo XC90 showcases sophisticated styling and offers the functionality of a roomy, three-row SUV. In 2025, the XC90 will remain mostly unchanged. The exception is the renaming of its three trim levels: Core, Plus, and Ultra. Our valued customers at Dyer & Dyer Volvo often ask about the differences between the mid-level and high-end trim levels.

Performance

Three powertrain systems are available for the Plus and the Ultra. The B5 is the entry-level powertrain. It uses a 247-horsepower, turbo four-cylinder engine. The B6 is a high-performance version of this turbo four-cylinder system, and it generates 295 horsepower. These two engines are paired with all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission. The 2025 XC90 also has a plug-in hybrid system that is good for 455 combined horsepower. On a full charge, its all-electric range is 32 miles. The Ultra trim is offered with an optional air suspension system.

Appearance

The 2025 XC90 has enviable styling with tall, gently curved dimensions. The smooth sides are dressed up with a lower chrome accent and an innovative wheel design. At the front end, the XC90 displays a classic Volvo grille with a diagonal slash holding the brand's emblem. The Thor's hammer headlights feature an LED outline. They sit atop expanded, sharply defined air inlets. The XC90 Plus has 20-inch alloy wheels while the Ultra comes with 21-inch wheels.

Features

If you choose the B6 of T8 engines, both the Plus and Ultra trim levels are offered with second-row captain's chairs. The standard configuration is a bench seat in the second row to accommodate a total of seven people. If you select the XC90 Plus, your SUV will come with front and rear parking sensors, a surround-view camera, heated first-row and second-row seats, wood trim, leather upholstery, a heated steering wheel, rear auto braking, a 9-inch infotainment system screen, a four-zone auto climate control system, Apple CarPlay, a Google navigation system, lane keeping, and more. The Ultra includes these features: a Harman Kardon audio system with 14 speakers, upgraded leather upholstery, a head-up display, rear window sunshades, and more.
