The midsize Volvo XC90 is the largest SUV in the lineup, and it delivers all of the functionality and luxury that you expect from your next vehicle. This three-row model brought numerous updates online for the 2026 model year, so Volvo has not made additional improvements for the 2026 model year.
Performance
The three available powertrains offered with the Volvo XC90 in both 2025 and 2026 are the B5, B6, and T8. The B5 is a mild-hybrid, turbo 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine that gives you 247 horsepower. The B6 is an upgraded version of the B5, and it produces 295 horsepower. The T8 is a 455-horsepower, plug-in hybrid system. It offers a 32-mile electric range. All three systems have all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission. If you choose the Ultra trim level, your XC90 will have an upgraded air ride adaptive suspension.
Appearance
The XC90 has large dimensions to ensure ample space for cargo and passengers in the roomy cabin. The rear is subtly raked, and the sides are elegantly sculpted. The lower portion of the door panels is styled with a crisp definition line and a chrome accent bar. On the front end, the Volvo XC90’s grille has a curved bottom with a chrome bar that wraps to the sides and links to the headlights. The headlights are styled with an LED outline of the brand’s signature Thor’s hammer design. A chrome band curves along the lower fascia and runs through the air vents.

The features in the XC90 are designed to pamper you and keep you safe on the road.
