Reba Goff

I am writing you for my mother.  Her name is Reba, and she had a Volvo XC90, which is why I have become a true believer in all you say about your cars! I had heard they were good and now I know for sure. My mom was in a terrible wreck not even a half a mile from her home.  Another driver hit her head-on going about 90 mph, and my mother walked away with nothing but a few cracked ribs and a scratch on her arm. They were in a Camaro and it ended up in two pieces.  It looked like someone had cut their car in half! Everyone that worked on the scene including the police and the rescue people said it was by far the worst accident they had ever seen. My mom told me, "I saw that car coming at me, stopped and thought, this is it, I'm gone." I have pictures of my mom's car so folks can see what a grat job a Volvo can do to save a life! Everyone in my hometown is SOLD on these cars!!!! I don't want this story to go out without being awarded the gold star that I think it should have!!  Thanks so much!

Sincerely,
Dori White

Kim Ensley

On a foggy morning at about 6:30 a.m. on February 19th 2009, my friend Kim was driving to work.  As she was traveling down the highway, a dump truck hauling a flat bed trailer pulled out from a side road. Kim hit the trailer at about 55 - 65 mph and the flat bed driver kept going, dragging her about 60 yards - he didn't even know she was there! The emergency crew stated that it was the car that saved her life.  Because her airbag deployed, her head was in a perfect position as they cut her out of the car.  Looking at these pictures the response is always the same from everyone, "She is ALIVE?" Kim spent 5 days at the hospital. She didn't break a single bone in her body. She has some facial injuries and a hard time with her eyesight. But they say that will get better.  Kim had bought this car just over a year ago. She was the most excited person you ever saw when she came home with it. And after the crash, she turned around and bought another Volvo. Kim is the most amazing person I know, a great mother, daughter, and friend. Thank you Volvo for making the safety of this car as amazing as she is.

Sincerely,
Shannon Hunter
