A couple of months ago we talked about the Volvo Concept Coupe possibly entering production. Fortunately, that end of things appears to still be in the works and it's got all of us at Dyer & Dyer Volvo psyched. Adding to that enthusiasm, we have a little more news in the way of concepts from our favorite automotive outfit.

It seems as though it's all about the two-doors in Scandinavia as the second example of Volvo's new Scalable Product Architecture (SPA) is the Concept XC Coupé. Scaling things back to only two portals makes sense to our Chamblee, GA staff. After all, they're sleek, stylish, and hey, it gets cold in Sweden. You might as well cut out the rear entryways and keep that chill out of the cabin.

Plus, if the first concept is any indication, the R&D team will hit the nail on the head with all three SPA models. That's right we said, "three". There is one final installment of the SPA trilogy that has yet to be revealed. But we'll likely learn more about that later.

Currently there is a Concept XC Coupé teaser video swirling around the web, but, living up to its designation s teaser, the clip doesn't really go too far into outlining the look or the stats. It sounds like we'll have to wait until January for the Detroit Auto Show to see it in the steel.

Until then, we invite you to drop into our new Volvo dealer to check out a few sleek and stylish rides that you can get out on the road today. Our sales staff would be happy to arrange a test drive at your convenience.
