Volvo Appoints New Senior Level Position

Volvo Cars has appointed Martina Buchhauser its new Senior Vice President of Procurement.

Buchhauser was formally the Senior Vice President of Purchasing and Supplier Network for Interior for BMW. Before her career with BMW began in 2012, Buchhauser worked in various senior purchasing positions since the mid-1980s at MAN and General Motors.

Volvo and Uber Partner to Expand Self-Driving Pilot in San Francisco

Volvo and Uber recently announced a deepening of the alliance between the two companies as the ride-sharing technology prepares to expand its self-driving pilot to San Francisco. The pilot will include specially converted self-driving Volvo XC90 premium SUVs.
